Car history:
This is a frame off restored /modified car, completed 2 years ago with only 10,500 miles on car since finished. Car now has a 327 with 4-speed trans, a Jim Meyers front end with disk brakes and rack and pinion steering.
Red with White coves.
The proper hood, instument cluster /tach and engine would return this car to near perfect condition.

An April 5th built 1958 Corvette. Purchased while in the States a few years ago, this car is an absolute joy to drive, to own and just to admire! It is absolutely reliable and can be driven anywhere with confidence.
It is basically original with a few parts changed to make it driveable. The aim when I purchased my dream car was to enjoy and drive it everywhere. It has an aftermarket disc brake front end as the original drum brakes are less than satisfactory. The hood had a scoop fitted, however a new hood is easily obtainable. The current engine is a 327 with a Holley performance carb and alternator, instead of the original generator setup.
The body looks good, but could use a fresh paint job in a few years. The rest of the car was a body off restoration. The chassis was sandblasted and painted black. All new wiring loom, exhaust system, brake and fuel lines were replaced.
It has a new white top (has a small 2 tear on one side) and comes with a matching red hardtop. One Plexiglass window on hardtop is cracked and its paint condition about same as the body. It has new white wall tires, 9 months old Victorian Registration, and will be sold with the Vic Reg plate VTTE 58 if purchased in Victoria. It has had a Cobra Alarm fitted, which also lowers insurance cost.
The gearbox is the close ratio 4 speed manual, with a Hurst aftermarket shifter. Diff is positraction. All instruments with the exception of the tach are original. Tach is an electronic VDO aftermarket. I have also replaced the standard coil and distributor with electronic units for reliability. Also installed were Sabbelts lap racing harness (can provide full shoulder harness if required) as the car was far too fast around corners to control while sliding from one side to the other!
